Lettuce Talk Steinbeck Video Project
In 2008 high school kids from Salinas and Monterey got together, worked in collaboration,
and shot some video while visiting each other's town in an effort to discover common ground.

The Picture America Project sponsors this website and provided five high-definition camcorders and related gear that made it possible for the kids to shoot video for this project. As the project's creative spark, Megan Heath has made a behind-the-scenes video for the project that is available on DVD and shows how this and related future video projects can help bring Salinas and Monterey communities closer together.

of on-going video projects like this one. An on-going video and active
website project with Salinas and Monterey high school kids exploring opportunities
that may be in store for them at California
State University Monterey Bay may be next.
